Surgery

Whether your pet needs a routine or complex surgical procedure, our expert team of veterinarians and support staff is here to provide them with the highest quality medical care, anticipating their needs before, during and after their procedure. Preparing your pet for surgery and caring for them afterwards can be a stressful time. Our team is here to answer your questions and provide with you the support you need every step of the way.

What to Expect Before Veterinary Surgery

The evening before you will receive a call from your pet’s surgery assistant, with fasting instructions and to confirm your drop-off time. When dropping your pet off for surgery, you will meet with a veterinary assistant for a few minutes to go over the estimate for the procedure and to answer any questions you may have.

Veterinary Surgery

Your pet’s veterinarian and a licensed veterinary assistant will be closely monitoring your pet throughout the procedure and during recovery. Once the surgery is complete the veterinarian will call you to discuss how the procedure went, answer any questions you may have, and set up a discharge time.

Discharge and at Home Care

At discharge, a veterinary technician will go over your pet’s at home care instructions, including care of the surgical site, if a follow-up appointment is required, and when to start medications that may have been prescribed.
